Stuart Ross asked me to list the 13 poetry books I’d want to keep me company if I were stranded on Neptune (he promised to provide breathing apparatus and a sandwich). It wasn’t easy to pare it down to 13, but here it is . . .

    lists are always fun. kind of adolescent but what the hell. its obvious i have to do more reading.

    Wonderful choices–I’d want Loy, Guest, Armantrout, and Brainard too. And I’ll be reporting to Anselm Hollo, who is recently having health problems, that you consider his work indispensable.
